As you can see from my home tour, I love a white kitchen. I know I’m not alone, they dominate Pinterest, and have for years – they’re just so gorgeous and timeless! However, I’m starting to see more and more colored kitchens, and there’s also no hiding that I’m a fan. On one of my current projects, we’ve painted the kitchen the most beautiful sage green color and I can’t get enough of it – I think I’m getting a bit of color envy, actually!
With all of these color inspiration swirling around my head as of late, I’ve decided to round-up of some of my favorite colored kitchens – from rich navy to statement-making blacks and greys, to calming shades of blue, I am so on board with this trend!
Navy Blue Colored Kitchens
This beautiful navy kitchen by Alyssa Kapito is what dark and moody dreams are made of. I love how she balanced the space with fresh, white walls and a light backsplash – it makes the kitchen the best of both worlds and is perfect for someone who doesn’t want to commit to either side of the color spectrum.
French Blue Kitchens
This French Blue color seems to shift depending on how the light hits it – is it gray? Is it blue? Either way, I’m loving it in this kitchen design by Kate Manning. Extra points for the ceiling following suit and joining in on the fun.
Sage Green Kitchens
Sage green is so on-trend this year and I couldn’t help but dip my toes into it and use it on a current project – I’m living out all of my wildest sage green-tinted dreams and it feels good. It’s such a non-intimidating way to embrace a bit of color without dominating the entire space. I love how designer Sarah Sherman Samuel tied it together seamlessly with the other elements in this kitchen.
Light Blue Kitchens
The perfect shade of blue doesn’t exi– just kidding. Pretty sure Emily Henderson has found it and the rest of us can give up the search. This is such a fun and fresh space and now I’m seriously considering painting my next kitchen project in a similar shade – can you blame me?
Black Colored Kitchens
This round-up wouldn’t be complete without a STUNNING black kitchen to top it off. I mean, just look at this beaut. This is so sleek, I imagine your cooking tastes better here too! 🙂 It just goes to show that you don’t have to shy away from bold colors, or from colored kitchens at all.
So, what do you think? Are you ready to take the plunge and say goodbye to all-white?
