Welcome to the Trailside Coastal Modern great room from my partnership with Tri Pointe Homes! My vision for this space was to create a beautiful, comfortable, and light-filled space that gave a nod to the PNW coastline without being too theme-y. I achieved this with lots of coastal-inspired light and airy neutrals and natural materials like woven baskets, wooden elements, ceramic decor, and of course, lots of greenery to bring in some freshness.
I love how many windows are in this room, it makes the whole space feel light-filled. For furniture, I chose this relaxed set of sofas in a crisp, white fabric. For the lighting, I went with a more relaxed-modern look to create impact and balance rather than going for a Coastal style that can steer things towards that overly beachy look that I wanted to avoid. When I think of coastal beach home, I think relaxed, maybe a bit weathered, so I made selections with that in mind, like weathered woods and neutrals with pops of black for a modern touch.
Stay tuned as we reveal more rooms (there are SO many!) from both Trailside Coastal Modern and Trailside NW Modern! We can’t wait!
